Description Reviews Want to get rid of the remote control car look and still get excellent reception? The Craven Speed Stubby Antenna replaces the stock antenna with just twist of a hand. Coming in at only 4" tall, this antenna provides all the power of a full sized antenna at the fraction of the stock size. Most customers have reported no change in reception, but some insist that their radio comes in clearer with this hot little antenna affixed. The ones that have reported problems live literally in the middle of nowhere, or had other problems with they radio system that was not caused by the antenna. Also, some convertibles owners has seen issues, but only convertibles. Still too tall? Go with the super short 2" or the bullet style! The Details! Base of the antenna has a diameter of .63 inches, and is dual drilled for both a M5 & a M6 set screw to fit any MINI Cooper on the market. So if today you have a Gen 1 R53, but in 6 months you get more family and need to update to a Clubman, this could fit many other cars; just find out what your car has and you will be all set for a quick and easy swap! Looked great after a 60 second install. Halfway though my first trip to the store I had to pull over and put my old antenna back on because the reception on the radio was horrible. DT Edit: We would love to know if you have a convertible or if you live in a small town. We have gotten a few complaints only from people with convertibles. All I had to do was match up the mounting screw size to my existing antenna and screw it in place. No tool no fuss. The reception has been great and I can't tell any difference.
