Detroit Tuned MINI R60 Countryman / R61 Paceman Skid Plate!!
This skid plate is made of .190 (3/16" or 5mm) thick 5052 aluminum and will only add 13lbs to your MINI and will give protection to all the important parts that need protecting. We designed it to make sure it cleared and protected your oil pan, ALL 4 transfer case, transmission, down pipe, and exhaust system. It also has a large hole centered over the oil drain hole so you can drain the oil out without having to remove the skid plate. We also added several small holes as well as the slick DT.com to help cooling and water drainage.
If your planing on doing any off road style or rally driving, this skid plate is a must have item. It will also help protect from chunks of ice and snow in the winter! This item can be installed in under an hour with basic hand tools. All needed hardware and spacers are included in this kit.
Note: This fits ALL countryman's, Cooper or Cooper S, 6 SPD or Auto, Standard or ALL 4, any year. Should fit all Paceman's as well.
Shipping Note: Ground shipping will run around $35-$50 depending on where in the country you are. Box size is 32x32x8 and weights 26 lbs

I purchased this skid plate for my 2014 All4S. I was very impressed with how quick the skid plate arrived and how it was packaged. Before installation I polished the plate for a few hours to give it a nice shine (I figured I would "try" to counter the salt affect here in the Midwest). For an easier installation, I put my car on a lift. The only change I made was: on the stock ac compressor shield I choose leave it as one piece . I only cut out the front raised section (2" X 1") which allowed the supplied bolt to be secured to the front under bumper via the J clip. This gave a cleaner look while allowing the skid plate to sit flush. I ended up using the 2 provided rear spacers along with 3 additional washers on each side. This combination yielded about a 3/4" gap between the skid plate and transfer case and down pipe. The installation only took about 45 minutes working at a moderate pace. I'm very pleased with the end result, everything lined up perfectly and I now have the peace of mind of a protected under carriage!
