Have a leaky turbo oil feed line? The Detroit Tuned Turbo Oil Line Kit is in stock, and ready to ship! This kit fixes the current stock oil line leak that happens when the line gets too hot, too many times. The stock line have an o-ring seal that allows adjustment in both directions, but the problem is the o-ring. After hundreds of heat cycles, the o-ring cooks it self and starts to leak oil onto the top of the turbo. The longer you let it go, the worse it gets. We already know the turbo engines like to use a bit of oil, now if yours has a leak, you're really going thru the oil! This kit fixes all of that, so you will never have to worry about it again.
If your car is really wet and just a really big mess, then you need all the extra stuff that comes in this kit. To complete the job correctly we paired our line with everything you see below. We have seen too many cars come back after we told them to replace the oil filter housing sealing while there were in there, because it's the same amount of work to get to the seal later. Take the time and do it right as they seal will leak later, as well as this is the new up to date part from MINI. This is a hard enough job, don't make it so you have to do it twice!
All parts in this kit are MINI OEM other than the DT Turbo Oil Feed line. We don't see the need for it that often, but you may want to also replace the oil cooler seals while you are in there. You might even want to change the oil and add a fresh OEM Filter while your at it! Don't forget you will get into the coolant system when replacing the oil filter housing gasket. So you need to have all the right part on hand before you start and that includes the correct coolant on hand! It's a good time to do a complete flush!

Note: Fits all MINI Cooper S cars that currently come with a turbo in the "R" car line, with the N14 or N18 motors, "JCW" or "S". This will also fit the 2007+ Peugeot 207 GTI (thp175).

This is by far some of the best money that I have spent on my MINI! This address is two of the major issues that these cars have, and it is a very complete and thorough kit. I would recommend this kit to anyone that has over 50,000 miles on their car.

I just installed this yesterday, so I can't speak for the longevity, but the quality of the product components seemed good. I didn't know there was a guide video, and it came with no printed instructions, yet I was still able to install it with no confusion.
The kit arrived quickly, with everything it stated.
Here's my constructive criticism.
Since it is a "super" kit, I would have liked for it to have included the oil cooler seals as well. I didn't know the filter housing had those and I missed the little suggestion to order them separately. For all the extra effort it would take to replace them, I hope they weren't the source of the leak. The whole areas was too dirty to tell for certain. Time will tell.

Excellent kit, covered everything I had to do. Great video of "How to". The only thing I would add would be the studs and nuts for the down pipe. Would recommend to any Mini owner!!
DT Note: We made this kit due to what we see in the shop, we never have to replace the studs so we didn't include them in the kit.

Went on with no problems. Took some time to get the old one out a little bit easy to put back together. Highly recommend this over the OEM turbo oil line.

This kit was well organized and contained everything you need to replace the poorly designed factory oil line to the turbo.
The Bentley shop repair manual didn't have complete instructions for putting my 2007 R56 in Radiator Support Service Position. Had to watch a video on You Tube.
DT EDIT: We never put the car in service mode for this job, so that could save you a step and a lot of time.

Amazing kit, had all the right parts to complete the installation. But after digging into the tear down and replacement, I realized I only needed the oil feed line and the downpipe gasket, and downpipe clamp. I over-purchased thinking that I was going to do it all, and didn't.
Suggestion for DT: available option for new turbocharger to downpipe mounting studs and nuts. Mine were on the verge of not being salvageable and was able to head over to a MINI dealer to locate some.
DT: We would offer the Turbo Studs/Nuts but you can go to any parts store and get them off the shelf very cheap. Also we alwasy recommend installing the Super Kit in full when you get it as the other parts are going to leak at some point. You are already there doing the job, install all the parts the first time. This was a note we got on a order just a few orders before yours that week: "Thank you for the fast shipping on my previous order. I should have ordered the 'super kit' in the first place. Now my Mini is sitting on jack stands waiting for these parts because I was foolish in thinking my Mini won't need those replaced, too! Thanks again for the superior quality oill cooling lines and the expedited shipping."

It's almost inevitable that R56S owners will have to replace the turbo oil line. Instead of replacing with the OEM one, this line is designed to avoid future leaks and is very well built. Installation was a breeze and the instructions were helpful. It would have been nice if it was more comprehensive in terms of the heatshield removal, downpipe removal etc because the Bentley manual doesn't cover all the steps.
The super kit is definitely the way to go, since the oil filter housing seal commonly fails as well. And you might as well proactively replace any potential points of failure when you have the car all apart!
