The Countryman is certainly larger than its siblings, but to really set it apart from other Countryman, we thought about adding a bit of a lift, 2" to be exact. By adding this lift kit it gives it a more aggressive stance, and allows a bit bigger tire for those who want them.
This lift kit has been designed by Cooper Crap to keep the factory ride. It comes with all needed hardware and installs pretty easily with the correct tools. However, this is not your average driveway job. It normally takes about 6 hours as the front end is more difficult to install and will require removal of the lower ball joint to make things easier. You will also need an alignment after you are finished. The end result is an lifted look and 2" extra inches in ride height.
Through our testing have found that at full suspension travel, the front sway bar can touch the lower control arm under full supension travel and that the rear sway bar can almost bind because of the down angle. So to over come this we highly recommend a set of adjustable drop links with this kit. In out drop link kit you will get a shorter front link and a longer drop link to keep the sway bars in the correct handling position. We also highly recommend a rear sway bar to help keep handling under control. Once you lift the car you will lose some of the corning of the car and make it feel top heavy and lose. By adding the sway bar you will gain the handling back, as well an increases it's over steer which makes it corner even better than stock. We have driven a countryman both ways and with a sway bar, it feels much more solid in corners and at freeway speeds than with out.
Note: We started stocking three sets of these and is normally in stock, but when they are out of stock this kit is normally made to order, and requires a lead time of about 10 working days. These will come powder-coated in a matte black like finish.
Tire Note: You can fit a bigger tire under it once lifted. We used a 225/55R18 Yokohama Geolander A/T-S. It is a very nice tire that gives it an agressive look with great on and off road traction, but it give a bit more road noise.

The powder coat or whatever was sprayed on it was horrible there are tack welds showing and poorly spaced welds with porosity. Im going to take them to my fab shop to see if they can fix them.
DT: We have not unwrapped the last several sets we have gotten. We passed this long to Cooper Ind. to make sure quality stays high.
