07/30/2010 Boy is it HOT! The dog days of summer are certainly here with a vengeance. It’s time to get out and enjoy your MINI. Whether it’s a local event or the MTTS, we need to kick up our wheels and enjoy the sunshine. I will be out of the shop from August 7 through August 14 partaking in the MTTS event from Chicago to Denver. My new staff member, Laura, will be available to take web, e-mail or phone orders, answer or record questions that I will answer and set up future service appointments. Don’t forget, you can listen to our Pod cast on White Roof Radio (WRR) every Thursday night and special MTTS updates as we cross the country. Discuss and learn new and interesting info about the MINI. Special Note: the engine mounts are available again, the TSW ’05 – ’06. They should start shipping when we get home from MTTS, so pre-order soon. As we go through the Midwest with MTTS, I look forward to meeting all of you and spending some time exchanging ideas, sharing information and having a drink or two or three or . . . . Look for us. ATL to Denver! 05/04/2010 We are back from the Dragon! It was such a great time with all of you. We can hardly wait till next year. The orders from last week are on there way out, and a new batch of cars are on there way in tomorrow to keep things moving forward. Also May 15th is the DT Spring Clean up party! It's February already! Where did the Holiday season go? We have been stay busy around the shop, but this week with all the snow in the Midwest and East Coast it has give me some time to update the web site. Even when it's up to date, it's out of date..lol. New prices, new parts, and better pictures always need updating. So on that note lets welcome the BSH Product line to the Detroit Tuned family. You will see their first three products on the home page, with more to come. Don’t forget that we are a dealer for NM Eng., Craven Speed, H-Sport, DDM Works, Texas Speed Works, Way Motor Works, Helix, Alta, M7, Ireland Eng., Braille Batteries, Autopower Roll Cages, Hawk, Samco, Royal Purple, ATE, MINI OEM Parts, as well a host of other vendors. Remember that if you don’t see it on our site we can always get it for you, or there might be a reason we choose not to put that part up there. Give us a call and we can tailor fit a package to fit your cars needs! And don’t forget that we are a full service shop that can take care of basic service, collision repairs, mods of any kid, and race car prep. No job is too big, or two small. It’s going to be a busy spring and summer for us in 2010. On our calendar already is AMVIV in March so come see us in Vegas the 25th-28th, and our biggest most, fun event MINI’s on the Dragon! This will be our 8th year there and it’s always a blast, April 26th-May 2nd. We also have 3 Races this year that we shall de driving in, the 24 hours of LeMons. One race is in April and 2 more in October where we take a 500 dollar car and race it for 24 hours. It’s more fun that we know what to do with. Chad & Detroit Tuned 11/12/2009 We are super busy around here these days! Working on lots of cars, replacing lots of worn out parts on high miles MINI. You may not know this, but we are more than mail order. We are a full service MINI shop that sells and installs everything on this site. We have a Large 5,000 sq, ft, building just outside Detroit where MINI's get dropped off and picked up daily. There has been a run on R56 Samco Boost Tubes so we are out of a lot of them and have more on the way. We will have enough to fill back orders and have a few on hand. If a club wants to do a group buy or something let me know. They normally take 5-7 weeks to get here from over seas, but are the best tubes on the market, so well worth the wait! The Holidays are coming up! It's never to early to start ordering now to make sure you have the part in hand. Or the best way is to get a Detroit Tuned Gift Certificate! Gen 2 Cooper Intake!09/03/2009 As you can see on the home page, DDM Works is coming out with the new Cooper Intake For the Gen 2 Cars.
