This still applies even if you're shipping to a U.S. address but you live outside the U.S. We will not ship to fright forward address or ship with a lower declared value.
Payment:
For all international orders, including Canada, Mexico and other U.S. Properties, Detroit Tuned only accepts payment through PayPal (in U.S. dollars). Detroit Tuned will not accept credit card transactions for any international orders. This is because the AVS (address verification system) does not work with international banks so we cannot verify the cardholders address or name, more importantly we have no recourse with international fraud. For these reasons Detroit Tuned will under no circumstances take any form of payment other than PayPal payments in U.S. dollars. All orders must be pre-paid in full and must show as deposited in our PayPal account before we will ship anything, or make any special orders. There are no cancellations, refunds, or returns for international orders. Back-orders often happen with international orders since transfers take time, and things may go out of stock before your order is completed, there is nothing Detroit Tuned can do to stop this from happening. Since we get so many international inquires if we held every order, our whole inventory would be on hold. For this reason please be reasonable with timetables and shipping expectations.
Shipping:
Detroit Tuned will only ship international orders with FedEx. The customer will have tracking numbers e-mailed to them once the package is shipped. Shipping times run from 3 to 5 days, but customs and your local shipping company may take longer. The package will be fully insured. When dealing with customs, Detroit Tuned will not mark down invoices, declare packages as a 'gift,' or use incorrect harmonizing codes to save on taxes. We must declare everything at the price we sell for and any and all taxes, fees, and tariffs will be the responsibly of the recipient once they reach their country. For all orders:
Email us your full billing and shipping address (as it needs to be shown on the label), phone number, e-mail address, and all items you would like to order. We will then start an invoice for you and send you an e-mail with the total price. If you approve the invoice, send your payment to our Pay Pal account ( paypal@detroittuned.com ). We will then ship your package as soon as the payment deposits into our Pay Pal account. All of this can take a few days or up to 2 weeks, but we try hard to make things move along as fast as we can.
