Description Reviews This MINI License Plate Bracket is an aftermarket item. This is the bracket that the plate actually mounts to. It mounts to the boot gate and the plate attaches to it. We have found that over time the factory screws rust into the nuts that are molded into the plastic. They then spin in place and you can't get your plate off. Each plate bracket is sent with new screws and a Detroit Tuned Plate Frame in your choice of colors at no extra cost! Not going to lie to you, this is an aftermarket bracket. It's a lot cheaper than the MINI OEM one. Care needs to be taken not to lose parts and put it together. But many people have wanted a cheaper option that fits, as the "universal" brackets do not. The torx tool is a bit slick, and I'd like to recommend adding in the two plastic nut inserts that mount it to the trunk. I didn't realize how bad mine were and I just made it work. Two new inserts would've made a big difference. Also maybe plate screws with a bit wider head on them, to really clamp the plate down and look like they won't blow through the plate and frame.
