MINI Turbo Aux Cooling Pump AFT

MINI Turbo Aux Cooling Pump 11-53-8-843-817 (Number 1 in the diagram photo).  This parts came on all the MINI Cooper S's to help keep the turbo cool after the car is off. This pump will run for 5 min after the car is off to help cool the turbo and all the internal parts for longevity and reliability. And as you can see by the below chart, they have made a lot of revisions to it. For a while some even caught cars on fire and MINI told people to not park them in a garage just in-cause it did catch fire.  They replace many of them under warranty early on, but if you do not have a record of it being done, call any MINI dealer to make sure your car doesn't still need it done! Also, make sure you hear the pump working when you turn they car off. If it isn't, your turbo will be need replaced soon than later. This is a Quality aftermarket pump that is they same as OEM, but at a price saving. We trust it enough to put it in our own cars!
