Specs: The handle is lathe crafted 6061 Aircraft aluminum and is powder coated red. The shaft is flexible spring made from 302 stainless steel. This makes the trip down the snaking tube so much smoother than the stock dipstick. The bottom sinker with the oil level meter on it is all stainless. They have cut grooves into the sinker and they each catch a bit of oil. You can see from the photo above that it is obvious which one has been dipped into oil and which one hasn't. The lowest groove indicates you need to add approx. 1 quart of oil, the middle point indicates about 1/2 quart of oil, and the top groove means your oil is full.
